Integrated Robotic Tub Opening, Syringe Filling & Stoppering System:

The system features fully automated Tyvek lid removal, inner liner extraction, and precise tub handling through an advanced robotic arm. Empty PFS nests are picked and placed directly onto the filling station, where liquid filling and rubber stoppering occur simultaneously. The narrow, compact design ensures easy access to all critical stations.

The showcased machine integrates tub opening (via robotic peeler) and syringe filling/stoppering into a single, seamless unit.

Process Flow

  1. Tub Loading: Once the tub is placed on the machine, it advances to the robotic opening station.
  2. Robotic De-Lidding:
    • The robotic arm peels off the external Tyvek lid.
    • It then removes the internal protective film.
    • Both components are discharged into an extractable recovery bin.
  3. Transfer to Filling Zone:
    The same robotic arm transfers the opened tub onto the load belt of the filling and stoppering unit.

  • SCADA software to process data acquisition in accordance with 21 CFR (11 Compliance)
  • Laminar Flow/RABS/Isolator
  • Aseptic Integrity

    A single isolator or RABS encloses both the tub opening and filling zones. Although unified, the zones remain separated through vertical laminar airflow and independent pressure control, preserving the pressure cascade required for aseptic processing.

    The machine and isolator are sanitized using VHP (Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide), ensuring short sterilization and aeration cycles with maximum bio-decontamination efficiency.

    Special Focus: The High-Tech Robotic Arm

    At the core of the system is a next-generation robotic arm engineered by the Radiant Industries R&D team. Designed specifically for sterile tub handling, it incorporates a futuristic gripper that mimics human hand movement. Both mechanical elements and control software were fully developed in-house.

    Intelligent Movement Software

    Phase 1 – Handling

    Picks the tub and positions it for de-lidding.

    Phase 2 – Corner Detection

    Mimics human dexterity by locating the peel-off corner—even when folded or bent—and securely gripping it to avoid tearing.

    Phase 3 – Lid Removal

    Peels off the Tyvek lid smoothly and disposes it in the dedicated bin.

    Phase 4 – Inner Film Removal

    Uses a vacuum cup to lift and remove the second protective cover, placing it in the collection bin.

    Phase 5 – Transfer

    Re-grips the tub and transports it to the loading conveyor of the filling and stoppering unit.
